For too long the Curtains have been drawn
Surviving life with Migraines necessitates living on a different level

Excruciating pain, a throbbing skull, nausea, vomiting that's set off by the slightest sound, smell, light or touch

Can you stretch yourself a bit more in order to heal?

A complex condition with multiple causes

Migraines are a physiological reaction that occurs under certain conditions inside the brain. Avoiding these conditions means avoiding migraines.
This is different form avoiding triggers that can range from alcohol to caffeine, or bumpy car rides to white dinner plates.
You must look at the sum of many parts, for the whole that influences your migraines.

Medication may be necessary, but can make matters worse

Triptan medicines work by contracting blood vessels around the brain and quieting pain nerves by stimulating for serotonin.
But overuse can increase the frequency of Migraines. The continuous use of medication leads to neural adaptations, which eventually increases sensitivity to migraine triggers.
That is why, 48 hours later, you may start feeling, “Oh no, not again”.

Finding Lasting Migraine Solutions

To find the solution, it is necessary to examine your pathophysiological paths.
Many factors can play a role, from co-morbidities, to the brain’s regulation of hormones, to mental health challenges, such as anxiety/depression.
There is even a link between being a high achiever and migraineur.
It is necessary for you to be monitored between episodes. Are you experiencing brain fog? What is that a sign of?
Through a comprehensive Case Review, we can drill into your unique brain condition and underlying triggers and find workable and lasting solutions that are specific to you.
Your treatment program can take place in-person or online, according to your needs and location.

Testimonials

S.M.

“In only 2-3 months, I made breakthroughs I did not think possible – especially with my migraine pain. I had a hard run and felt broken down when I started but somehow Dr. Suarez helped me to get out of the trenches.”

M.L.

"Dr. Suarez helped me connect the dots through an extensive history and lab work. I can’t thank him enough, because I only get a headache once every few months now and I rarely need to take the heavier medication for it. All of my other health problems improved along with my headaches, which was amazing to witness."

S.P.

“I was amazed at how well Chinese herbal medicine, regular exercise, and breathing meditation improved my headaches and how much less stressed I feel now that I have a regular self-care routine!”

Take control over what controls you

You have missed out on enough special occasions because you had to draw the curtains shut. Feeling that pre-headache coming on, just as you start having a good time, has happened enough. Enough.

In evolutionary terms, the migraine process is nothing new. Any brain can experience a migraine.

Recent evidence is points to environmental factors contributing to your antagonizing nemesis, and less to genes.

Up to now, migraines have always been in control. Your thrill will come from taking back control through lifestyle changes that will turn the tables.

These changes are uniquely individual, and follows from an intricate personalized mapping process. Commit to these, and you will soon be able to make social commitments again.

Mobilizing against Migraine

It may seem hard at first. But you have done some very hard things before.

A head start for some patients may be minimizing medication. The rest of what you must do - the Life Beyond Migraine lifestyle changes - are not hard.

It can start with something as simple as breathing. Slow (not deep) breathing: Breathing through your nose and exhaling for longer than inhaling.

Gain the knowledge and recommendations you need with a Case Review, and monitoring and support through the Unified Membership Program.

This includes six sessions with a Functional Medicine Practitioner of 50 minutes each and 12 sessions with a Health Coach of 50 minutes each.

Together, we will guide you back to health.

Our focus is your Brain Health
